AN ACT TO REQUIRE THAT INSURANCE POLICIES PROVIDE COVERED BENEFITS FOR HOME HEALTH CARE SERVICES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. All alternative delivery systems and all individual and group health insurance policies, plans or programs regulated by the State of Mississippi that are delivered or issued for delivery in this state on or after July 1, 1999, shall provide covered benefits for home health care services as defined in Section 41-71-1(i) through (vi) except for policies which provide coverage for specified diseases only.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
